Dream Factory Sound Sanctuary (“DFSS,” “we,” “us”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in San Diego County, California. We operate the marketing site at dreamfactorystudio.org and the Creative Portal at app.dreamfactorystudio.org.

2. What Information We Collect

Form submissions

When you submit a form on our site (such as a residency application or an event RSVP), we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, email address, contact details, and project information. Our forms are powered by Jotform; residency application fees are processed through Jotform and Zeffy.

Account information

When you create an account or sign in with Google in the Creative Portal, we collect your name and email address.

Profile information

Artists may optionally provide dietary preferences, project descriptions, and a profile photo.

Session data

Gear session lists and notes you create in the Creative Portal.

Communications

Messages you send through the in-app messaging system.

Booking requests

Information submitted via the booking form, including your name, contact details, and project description.

Waiver signatures

Your legal name, timestamp, and IP address when signing the liability waiver.

Usage data

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site. This may include pages visited, time on site, and general location (country/region).

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account. To facilitate artist residency applications, event RSVPs, and bookings. To send administrative communications about your residency or sessions. To improve our programs and services. To fulfill our nonprofit mission of supporting musicians.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. How We Share Your Information

We use the following third-party services to operate our site and the Creative Portal: Jotform (form hosting and submission processing), Supabase (database and authentication hosting), Google Drive (file storage for residency materials), Resend (transactional email delivery), Vercel (application and site hosting), Zeffy (donation and payment processing, governed by Zeffy’s own privacy policy), and Google Analytics (usage analytics).

Each service processes data only as necessary to provide their function. We do not share your information with any other third parties.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate nonprofit record-keeping purposes.

6. Your Rights

You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by contacting us at info@dreamfactorystudio.org.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email.
